Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios and Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas’ feud has seemingly finally come to an end as the two are spotted together at the Australian Open.
The two stars had a turbulent relationship as they were involved in a heated exchange of words during the Wimbledon 2022. However, Kyrgios shared a picture on his official account on the social media platform Instagram where he could be seen standing next to Tsitsipas and Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Kyrgios is currently spending time on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from an injury sustained in the second half of 2022. It was for this reason, that the 28-year-old ended up missing the last five Grand Slams.
On the other hand, Tsitsipas, who was the runners-up at the Australian Open in 2023, had a difficult outing this time around as he suffered a surprising defeat in the fourth round to America’s Taylor Fritz with a score of 7-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3.
It was the third consecutive Grand Slam event where Tsitsipas failed to qualify for the quarterfinal or beyond. At Wimbledon last year, he lost in the fourth round to Christopher Eubanks with a score of 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
At the US Open, he was knocked out after losing in the second-round tie to Switzerland’s Dominic Stricker with a score of 7-5, 6-7, 6-7, 7-6, 6-3.
