Nick Kyrgios slammed for animal cruelty after recent Instagram post

Nick Kyrgios has been known to speak in favour of animal rights as the Australian became a vegan because of it.

When announcing that he doesn't eat meat or dairy anymore, Kyrgios said he wasn't doing it for health reasons or anything similar but simply because he doesn't believe in eating animals. That stance came under fire recently when he posted a video of himself dragging a shark to shore.

In the video, Kyrgios and others are pulling on a rope attached to a small shark which tries desperately to get away. Fans were not happy in the comments as one wrote:

"Vegan but torturing sharks? Wow."

Some fans defend Kyrgios which created a war of comments below the post. The Australian is yet to comment on the matter.
