Cameron
Norrie highlighted his compatriot
Andy Murray and the American
Andre Agassi as
his idols for his career.
World No. 13 was recently defeated in the final of the
Argentina Open by Carlos Alcaraz, but in his time in the South American country
he left some reflections in front of the press. After defeating Juan Pablo
Varillas in the semifinals, Norrie expressed his admiration for the 7-time
Grand Slam champion: “My idol was Andre Agassi. I read his book by him and he
respected him a lot”.
He also mentioned the Spanish
Fernando Verdasco:
“I also liked Verdasco who played great games”, added
the Brit.
Norrie spoke about the time he moved to London, which
gave him the opportunity to work closely with Murray:
"When
I moved to London I started training with Andy and I got to know him deeply and
I admire him a lot. He is my great idol. I learned many things from him,"
