"Not ideal but getting there" - Djokovic provides injury update

Novak Djokovic easily won his first-round match against Carballes Baena and after the match, he provided an injury update on his leg that still bothers him somewhat.

It didn't show up in his game but Djokovic is still dealing with the leg injury that happened to him in Adelaide. The Serbian was spectacular in the first round taking the final set with only 4 points lost in the entire set. Watching that seems like he was clearly unaffected but after the match, he said he was:

“I was kind of testing my leg a little bit. At the beginning I was a bit tight, mentally as well, to protect something that was bothering me for the last 10 days. So it took me a little bit of time to really get into the match and start moving more freely."

He was positive overall about it:

“The great sign was that the longer the match went, the better I felt, the better I moved. It's not ideal, but it's getting there. Today was a really good test. Haven't had too much training in the last few days.”
