Novak Djokovic opts out of playing Davis Cup for Serbia

Novak Djokovic was set to play for Serbia in Valencia but team captain Viktor Troicki confirmed he won't be taking part.

Djokovic was initially scheduled to make his return to tennis at the Davis Cup competition in about 10 days or so but he won't be playing for Serbia. Troicki stated it was due to personal reasons but he would play for the country if they qualify for the quarterfinals in Malaga.

Troicki said:

He won’t play due to personal reasons. He was there for the national team countless times, but this time he can’t. If we make it to Malaga, he will join us."

It's unclear why Djokovic cancelled his participation as he generally loves playing for his country and always does but there could be many reasons.
