Novak Djokovic set to play at the Dubai Tennis Championships next month as entrants don't have to be vaccinated.
Novak Djokovic is finding himself in a strange situation as an unvaccinated tennis player. The Serbian will face quite a few issues while choosing where to play as many events are imposing vaccine mandates to take part in them. One that is not is the Dubai Tennis Championships next month and it seems Djokovic is set to make his return there.
The event is set to begin on February 21st and Djokovic is among the names on the entry list published by the event. It is set to be Djokovic's first appearance since his deportation from Australia ahead of the Australian Open earlier this month. The 34-year-old has not spoken publicly since returning to Serbia but has been photographed on a trip to Montenegro.
Entrants to Dubai do not need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and it is a tournament Djokovic has often played in the past, with the 34-year-old winning the title five times.
