Tennis coach Rick Macci reveals why
he believes Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic is the greatest
player of all time. There has been a debate about who is the best player to
have graced the tennis court with some exceptional performances from the likes
of Switzerland’s Roger Federer, and Spain’s Rafael Nadal along with the 36-year-old
over the last two decades.
Macci, in a post on his official
account on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — highlighted why Djokovic is the greatest player of all time in his opinion.
“The Quickest Faster Number One way
to get to Number One and stay at Number One is to take the Stairs One step at a
time not the Escalator. ONE MORE =WON MORE. @DjokerNole,” he wrote
Djokovic has won the most number of
Grand Slams (24) in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era. He had
a fabulous year in 2023 where he won three out of four major titles.
His only defeat in a Grand Slam came
in the final at Wimbledon where he lost to Spain’s young sensation Carlos
Alcaraz in a five-set thrilling contest with a score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–1,
3–6, 6–4.
