As the 2025 edition of the Rome Open approaches to its end, tomorrow's quarterfinals matchups promise to deliver world-class tennis on the clay courts of the Foro Italico. The tournament's schedule features three exciting duels between established tennis superstars: Jack Draper vs. Carlos Alcaraz, Lorenzo Musetti vs. Alexander Zverev, and Jaume Munar vs. Casper Ruud.
The action in Rome continues with two thrilling matchups corresponding to the quarterfinals and one that comes to conclude the round of 16. Casper Ruud and Jaume Munar were scheduled to play on Tuesday but after waiting the whole day the organization decided to reprogram the duel and will be played on Wednesday morning.

Jack Draper vs. Carlos Alcaraz: Two powerhouses collide again

The most anticipated match of Wednesday's schedule pits Britain's superstar Jack Draper against Spanish sernsation Carlos Alcaraz in what could be a preview of many future Grand Slam encounters.
Draper, currently ranked world no.5, has been enjoying a breakthrough period in his young career. The 23-year-old left-hander has claimed three ATP titles, including a significant victory in Indian Wells, the most important accolade Draper has reach so far. His semifinal appearance at the 2024 US Open demonstrated his ability to compete at the highest level, but this year, Jack took things to another level, reaching Madrid's final as well last week.
Across the net will be 22-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, whose meteoric rise has already established him as one of tennis' greatest talents. 'Carlitos' reached the world no.1 back in 2022 and with four Slams in his collection, he's one of the most exciting players to watch and a presence to fear for a long time.
Both Draper and Alcaraz went through challenging matchups against Moutet and Khachanov respectively in the previous round, needing three sets to send their opponents home.
Alcaraz leads the H2H record 3-2, but Draper was the last one to laugh up until this point, beating the Spaniard in the 2025 Indian Wells' semis.
