Aryna Sabalenka and Victoria Azarenka plan to play doubles at the Tokyo Olympic Games representing Belarus.
The duo is currently in Berlin for the bett1 Open where they participate both in the singles and doubles. Sabalenka is out in the singles while Azarenka is through to the semifinals. In the doubles they were superb and they are through to the semifinals. It's good practice time for the duo who plan on playing together at the Tokyo Olympic Games representing their native Belarus.
Sabalenka has never won any medals at the Olympics but she is an excellent doubles player currently ranked 8th. She was the number 1 ranked doubles player a couple of months ago. Azarenka does not play doubles as frequently but she won two medals for Belarus at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
In the singles, she won the Bronze Medal while in the mixed doubles she won the Gold Medal pairing up with Max Mirny. They will look to bring another Gold Medal to Belarus at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
