"They didn't help" says Boris Becker on Novak Djokovic's family

Boris Becker believes that the family of Novak Djokovic have not helped his case when it comes to resolving his various problems ahead of the Australian Open.

Boris Becker has followed the situation with Novak Djokovic closely and while the German was sympathetic for Djokovic to an extent he was not fond of the way his family behaved during the whole matter. Novak's father Srdjan is no stranger to controversial comments as he made plenty in the past years but even by his standards, he took it too far.

Speaking on that he said:

“The father certainly overreached the goal. He will certainly regret some of the statements he made four or five days ago. The fact that statements were made by his family didn’t exactly help him. His parents are very emotional – and his brother too, that’s not always understandable.”
