Zlatan Ibrahimovic knows Novak Djokovic very well as they share a very similar story where success came against all odds.
Ibrahimovic is known for his outspoken views and the Swedish player counts himself among Djokovic fans respecting what he did for the game of tennis. Ibrahimovic was also asked about Djokovic and what happened in Australia and he said:
"Getting vaccinated for health reasons is not the same as getting into a tennis tournament. Those who get vaccinated do so because they believe in it and think it is effective against the disease."
He then added:
"But everyone has an opinion of him. People shouldn't be forced to get vaccinated just to go to work. I got vaccinated because I think it's the best way to protect myself, not to play football. These are two different situations."
Djokovic has not publicly spoken abotu the situation yet but the Serbian is set to return to tennis in Dubai in February. Craig Tiley, the Australian Open director did confirm that Djokovic won't be suing the event and that he will be back in 2023.
