Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the Indian Wells quarter-finals thanks to
Jack Draper retiring from the match and Alcaraz showed great sportsmanship after the match.
The Spaniard was playing a really strong match but that was a lot to do with Draper not being able to provide proper resistance. The Spaniard won the first set 6-2 and in the second set, Draper retired from the match with an abdominal injury. The Miami Open is not far away probably impacted Draper in calling it quits earlier as he was not going to win anyway.
Alcaraz showed great showmanship by writing on the camera some good wishes for Draper:
