VIDEO: Bublik soaks in crowd applause and responds with underarm serve

Despite trailing by a large margin in his opening round match at the Barcelona Open, Alexander Bublik retained his sense of humor to bask in the adulation of the crowd as he hit an underarm serve.

Bublik was facing Emil Ruusuvuori in the first round, and had lost seven games in a row to trail 0-6, 0-1. Nonetheless, the Kazakhstani was finally able to win three points on his serve to lead 40-0. He then proceeded to surprise his Finnish opponent with an underarm serve, before hitting a backhand winner after Ruusuvuori scrambled to keep the ball in play.

This led to a well-deserved round of applause from the fans, resulting in Bublik recognizing the applause with a beaming smile. Nonetheless, the World No.55 would go on to lose the match 0-6, 3-6.
