Novak Djokovic has been given the task of interviewing
Alexander Zverev ahead of the
Monte-Carlo Masters and he took it very seriously.
During the 1st round match of Paire and Thompson, many tennis players were seen around the court. We had Rafael Nadal checking out the venue where he wrote tennis history and we also had Novak Djokovic interviewing Alexander Zverev.
Djokovic took the job very seriously and asked Zverev how did he feel and whether anybody asked him how did he feel like 'deep inside' to which Zverev responded:
"You are the only one. For some reason, you are the only one that is interested actually. It's very nice to talk to you but every time we talk it's about three hours long so we will not do this in front of the camera."
After that, Djokovic asked Zverev what other subjects besides tennis he is interested in, to which Zverev responded:
"The Universe."
Djokovic repeated his answer in a confused manner asking him 'anything specific' after which he burst out laughing followed by Zverev. Djokovic proceeded to joke around with Sasha saying 'Planets I guess.' to which Zverev explained that it was an inside joke nobody will understand.
They continued joking around before Novak ended the interview by saying:" I wish you a stellar, universal performance here all the way to the quarters after which they both started laughing again. If they both play well they will meet in the quarter-finals hence the laughing.
