Daniil Medvedev is not one to shy away from the occasional temper tantrum on the court and during his match against Sinner, he had a very unique way of playing mental games.
In the 3rd set Sinner took a break off Medvedev and confirmed with a strong game of his own to the overwhelming joy of the native Italian crowd. Sinner was fired up as well celebrating the win of the game with a lot of emotion but Medvedev was left unimpressed. While walking towards his bench and while in the field of vision of Sinner the Russian did something interesting.
He gestured with his hands in a motion that is commonly used by people when they jawn in a way signaling that he was bored and unaffected by the loss of game. After all, it was not a match of much significance to Medvedev who already advanced to the semifinal. Despite that Medvedev continued fighting and ultimately won the match.
