"Way more convenient": Elon Musk believes pickleball will 'crush tennis' as Roddick responds with criticism of verdict

Elon Musk is one of the richest people on the planet and he thinks that pickleball will 'crush' tennis because it's way more convenient than the iconic sport.

There has been a pickleball craze in the US as people flock to the sport because it's easy to play and easy to be good at. It's nothing revolutionary or anything like that but tennis fans are having a lot of issues with it. From the Tennis Channel interrupting tennis matches to show pickleball matches to the sport hijacking tennis courts which are being transformed into pickleball courts due to the recent surge in popularity.

Millions of dollars have been poured into the sport through the sport which isn't helping the cause and after a Twitter user complained about the sport hijacking tennis courts on the local level, Musk chimed in and claimed that the sport would crush tennis because its way more convenient:

"It’s probably going to crush tennis. Way more convenient."

A very active Twitter user and former player Andy Roddick also chimed in as he disagreed with Musk. The biggest problem with pickleball according to Roddick is that's it's really not a compelling watch. The sport might be fun to play but watching it is not a great experience and you need that if you're going to compete on the big stage:

"And it will never crush tennis. It’s so much fun to play but it’s not even comparable as a viewer. Ping pong also really fun. Would rather be kicked in the nuts than watch it on TV. Again, so much fun to play. I love playing. The highest rated pickle match ever was a bunch of tennis guys trying to grasp it ……. Not sure it stands on its own as a TV product. I’d play again anytime. Loved it."
