"What the big 3 have done is unreal" says Ivan Ljubicic

Ivan Ljubicic played during the start of the big 3 era and he had the chance to play against all three players. While he was slowly heading towards the conclusion of his career many of his rivals were at the upswing of theirs and looking back on all of that the Croatian declared:

"What the Big 3 have done is unreal."

It's a factually true statement and nobody really believes that all three of them would become some dominant as they have. Never in history did the game of tennis have 3 players so dominant at the same time despite Djokovic realistically dominating the past 5-6 years more so than Federer or Nadal. Asked what he thinks will happen when they retire he said:

"Once they retire, we will see different Grand Slam winners like happened when Sampras and Agassi stopped playing."

Again a true statement by Ljubicic who believes the game will be left in good hands. The popularity of tennis won't waver and more competition in the sport might bring in more interesting than before. The 2021 Laver Cup proved a great success despite none of the big 3 playing in the event.
