- Winning and losing is part and parcel of any competition whether you’re a professional or an amateur. Even for an amateur one will feel sad and down when one looses a match. So its a matter if how you deal with the situation. It would be easier if you have a family unit who are supportive of you and give you encouragement. Otherwise the situation is more difficult to deal with. I girss the probles is the same for players in the lower rung although it is seldom neing address in public. ATP should provide some kind of councelling to these players to help them come out of this situation. Also, ATP should investigate how bad is this problem and how this problem is handle in the lower rung players.
- Any athlete who willfully looks at anti-Socal Media is not thinking well.
Loser Bettors are going to shame you, curse at you, threaten you and potentially worse.
Enter Internet chats & forums at your own risk -- and if you do, and it upsets you -- don't whine to the media about it.
- Okay... Soooo... what the hell was that all about?
- First she disses Gauff -- then she doubles-down and makes a scene on court because she didn't like Amanda's noise, etc. She was unnecessarily mean to Amanda in her post-match presser as well. Her nasty comments were far worse than her slight to Gauff. Saba is reverting back to her old nasty, Poor Loser self. Perhaps less intentional Fake Screaming and more Tennis?
FYI: She never ever makes a peep during her practices so we know it's a ploy to distract. Ostapenko, on the other hand, does make the same noises on the practice courts. Therefor we know it's her 'thing' and not a lame act.
- A little jab from a player who tasted Iga's double bagel in Rome final. Petty
- "Granted" a Wildcard = $$$$$$$$$$$
- Did he have to pay more for his WC than Venus (I won't go away) Williams?
- BTW: It would appear Amanda's playing was "INCREDIBLE" !!
I hope Anisimova does not acknowledge this Fool.
- Sorry?? Like, sorry you're losing??
Finally we see the old Sabalenka returning to the courts. Her naive and sarcastic little post-match "speeches" have fooled the masses (and those with no memory of her true 'personality'). Her play and several fortunate occasions of attrition cannot last forever -- and they are not.
You will not be able to walk back your ridiculous snottyass remarks we saw on live television. No Tik Tok dance with Amanda is going to fool anyone. I hope she remains true to herself, and hopefully ignores making any follow-up PHONY APOLOGIES.
You said what you said, and acted like a Queen (which you are not).
Saba will remain #1 in theory because he has a wide point spread. However many of us have watched the gradual weak play this season. Just enough to win in most cases. But the decline will subside at some point, and she will settle somewhere in the Top 10.
Sorry -- NOT sorry.
- If players are suffering from anti-Social Media abuse -- it's their own fault. Avoid it.
If it's the stress of the new endless road life due to back-to-back tourneys, totally understand. First the body reaches its limits -- then comes the mental complexities.
Pro Tennis has become like the music business. Corporate (WTA & ATP) will "love" you at the same time they use you while they can, then chew you up and spit you out.
