The fourth round will begin at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships on Sunday, July 7th, with the schedule/order of play now confirmed for Day Seven. The second week marks a new phase of the competition, with players already settled in and several matches on the grass-courts of SW19.
Our preview looks ahead to the action as usual with Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Emma Raducanu, and Coco Gauff in action. Other intriguing matchups include Jasmine Paolini vs. Madison Keys and Grigor Dimitrov against Daniil Medvedev.

Alcaraz and Sinner seek quarter-final berths

The Center Court will kick off the day with defending champion Carlos Alcaraz (No. 3) facing Frenchman Ugo Humbert (16th). The Spaniard survived a tough five-set encounter against Frances Tiafoe in the third round but raised his game to continue his title defense.
His opponent Humbert is in the fourth round of Wimbledon for the second time, last appearing in 2019. The 25-year-old has shown great effectiveness on the SW19 grass, winning four out of six tie-breaks played and coming off a strong victory against Brandon Nakashima.
Later, 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu, the only British player remaining in both the men's and women's draws, will take to the court. The 21-year-old faces the surprising debutant Lulu Sun in the Wimbledon main draw.
Closing out the day on Center Court is world No. 2 Coco Gauff, against compatriot Emma Navarro. With Iga Swiatek's elimination on Sunday, Gauff is now the top favorite remaining in the draw.

Coco Gauff is now the remaining favourite in the main draw.
Court No. 1, the second most important court at SW19, will feature Jasmine Paolini against Madison Keys at the start of the day. The Italian continues her excellent form in 2024, having defeated tough opponent Bianca Andreescu in the third round and reaching the second week for the first time at Wimbledon, after not recording previous wins at the tournament in her career.
Later, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner will face young star Ben Shelton for the fourth time in the last two years. It will be their first meeting on grass, with the American seen as a serious threat to the 2023 semifinalist. The day will conclude with Daniil Medvedev facing Grigor Dimitrov, aiming for a spot in the quarterfinals.
