As Coco Gauff is confirmed for Olympic Games, who is in the running for remaining Team USA spots?

The Paris Olympics will be one of the biggest sporting event
this year to be held in the world. In the mega-event, tennis, as always will
have a special place.
Team USA will be once again at the centre of attention. The young
superstar Coco Gauff has already booked her place in the mega-event and is
almost certain to be a part of the contingent.
The team will be provided with four spots each in both men’s
and women’s singles category. While the women’s category looks pretty with the
likes of Gauff joined by Jessica Pegula and others, it is the men’s category
where the competition is expected to be a tough one.
As things stand, as many as six players are in the running
for a spot in the men’s singles category. The includes the likes of world
number 13 Taylor Fritz, number 14 Tommy Paul, number 17-ranked Ben Shelton, number
22 Frances Tiafoe, world number 29 Sebastian Korda and number 32 Christopher
Eubanks.
Fritz last time decided to opt out of the mega-event but he
has made himself available for the competition and therefore, it will be
interesting to see which four players will be finally selected to take part in
the Summer Olympics.
