In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, Ben Shelton stole the spotlight by sharing his football training session with his girlfriend Trinity Rodman, while Serena Williams posted new family photos from her sister Venus Williams’ wedding—this time alongside her daughters and husband during the celebration.

Meanwhile, WTA stars continue to attract major sponsors. On this occasion, teenage prospect Emerson Jones made headlines after appearing on the cover of Vogue Australia, while Canadians Victoria Mboko and Eugenie Bouchard joined Emma Navarro in a campaign for a major jewelry brand.

Ben Shelton shared a video on social media playing football with his girlfriend, American professional football player Trinity Rodman, with whom he has been in a relationship for nearly a year. Rodman plays for the Washington Spirit and is also part of Team USA, which won the gold medal at the most recent Olympic Games.

Shelton is preparing for his return to competition during the Australian Open Series, with his first tournament scheduled at the ASB Classic in Auckland. There, he will be the top seed in a draw that also includes players such as Casper Ruud, Jakub Mensik, and Cameron Norrie.

The American recently climbed to World No. 8, becoming the new American No. 1 following a loss of ranking points by Taylor Fritz. Serena Williams shared new photos from her sister Venus Williams’ wedding, this time featuring her own family. The images include Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their daughters, Olympia and Adira. The 23-time Grand Slam champion was one of the star guests at the wedding, which featured members of the Williams family in a photoshoot alongside Venus, with all the Williams sisters dressed in white bridal gowns.

Until a few weeks ago, speculation had been growing about a potential return to the courts by the former World No. 1, after she re-entered the drug-testing pool at the end of 2025, making her eligible to compete in official tournaments once again. Although Williams denied a possible comeback with a brief post on her X account, she has not clarified the reason why her name reappeared in the ITIA drug-testing pool.

Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko has recently added a new sponsor, appearing as the main star of the latest campaign by Mejuri, a direct-to-consumer fine jewelry brand. The campaign features several North American female tennis players, both American and Canadian, as part of Mejuri’s new “Mejuri Play” initiative, with the 18-year-old Mboko positioned as the central figure.

“It’s time to PLAY. Women athletes deserve the spotlight — and jewelry that moves with them on the court and everywhere in between. Meet the 2026 lineup tomorrow. #mejuriplay,” the company posted on its official social media channels.

Mejuri had previously worked with American players Emma Navarro and McCartney Kessler, while more recently adding Mboko and former Wimbledon runner-up Eugenie Bouchard, who has retired from professional tennis but remains active in sport as a professional pickleball player. The jewelry brand is aiming to establish itself within the sports world, with a campaign clearly inspired by tennis.

The Polish duo of Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz once again showed their strong chemistry and friendly relationship off the court, taking part in the headphone challenge, in which the six-time Grand Slam champion tried to get her compatriot to guess several concepts in English while he was wearing noise-cancelling headphones.

Although Hurkacz was not particularly effective at guessing the words, when they switched roles, Swiatek performed much better than Hubi, creating a light-hearted and entertaining moment between the two.

The Polish team will be looking to secure qualification this Wednesday when they face the Netherlands to decide the group. In their opening tie, Poland impressed with a dominant 3–0 victory over Germany, including a win for Hurkacz against Alexander Zverev and a victory for Swiatek over Eva Lys. For the tie against the Netherlands — led by Tallon Griekspoor and Suzan Lamens — Poland will need just one win to secure first place in the group.

Australian teenager Emerson Jones is taking her first steps in professional tennis and has already become a highly sought-after figure for major brands. The 17-year-old appeared on the cover of Vogue Australia, coinciding with the start of the 2026 season, where Jones is highlighted as one of the players to watch during the Australian swing. “A little pinch-me moment, featured in @vogueaustralia wearing my favourite @nike fits,” Jones wrote.

At just 17, Jones is currently ranked World No. 147 in the WTA Rankings and made her debut at the Brisbane International on Monday, January 5, earning an impressive victory over veteran Tatjana Maria, who is currently ranked inside the top 50.

Jones will look to continue her strong run when she faces an even tougher challenge against World No. 17 Liudmila Samsonova, who will be playing her first match of the season as she looks to build momentum ahead of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year.
