Billie Jean King voices opinion on potential WTA and ATP merger: "Women and men together, has long been my vision"

Roger Federer recently tweeted about a potential merger between the ATP and WTA and Billie Jean King has voiced her opinion on this admitting that it is something she has long called for and that she wants to make it a reality.

“One voice, women and men together, has long been my vision,” she said. “The WTA on its own was always Plan B. I am glad we are on the same page. Let’s make it happen”.

ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi has also revealed that he is very much in favour of this proposal: “Recent cooperation between governing bodies has only strengthened my belief that a unified sport is the surest way to maximise our potential and deliver an optimal experience for fans on-site, on television and online.
