With the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of 2023 is about to begin. On the fast-paced hardcourt courts in warm Melbourne, there will be two weeks of competition for the prestigious title and millions in prize money.
Novak Djokovic is the men's title favourite and will be on the hunt for double figures. The Serb has already won the Australian Open nine times. Moreover, due to the withdrawal of Carlos Alcaraz, the World Number One is up for grabs. Djokovic will face competition from Rafael Nadal, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Iga Swiatek is also the clear favourite for the Women's draw. The Polish number one made it to the semi-finals last year and went on to win Roland-Garros and the US Open. But especially in women's tennis, we can always count on some surprises.

The Fantasy Australian Open starts on Monday 16 January 2023 at 1:10 hours CET.
As a participant to the Fantasy Australian Open you need to create a team which exists out of 30 tennis players. All tennis players (men and women) are divided into 10 different groups. You can choose per group a restricted total of tennis players of which you think are going to win the most points in the Fantasy Australian Open.
The tennis players can win points for your team in a few different ways. A tennis player can get points if he wins a match. You can also win points for the different statistics like the total games won, the set difference, the total of aces, 1st service percentage, 1st return points percentage and also minus points for double faults.
Each match within a category, from the first round to the final, counts equally. Please check "Points" for more details.
An example: Carlos Alcaraz plays against Rafael Nadal and wins this match with 6-4, 6-4 and 6-2. Alcaraz will receive 150 points for winning the match and 18 x 5 = 90 points for the games won. Also he gets 3 times 30 points = 90 points for the set difference. 330 points in total. For the rest of the statistics he will score: 15 aces (15 points), 3 double faults (-3 points), 62% 1st service percentage (3 points), 37% first service return points won (4 points), 64% of the total of games won (6 points), 30% break points won percentage (4 points) and a maximum of 6 points in a row won (2 points). Alcaraz will score 31 points for the statistics. His total score for your team will be 330 + 31 points = 361 points.
The game will cost $7,53/€7/£6.19 per team and will start with a guaranteed amount of $1,614/€1,500/£1,325 in prizes. The first prize will be $325/€300/£265! (41 GC prizes).
