Andre Agassi will play in the
Pickleball Slam on April 2 alongside
John McEnroe,
Michael Chang and
Andy Roddick and unlike McEnroe, the former does not take a disparaging view at the sport.
"As far as the interest in it, are we anywhere near the best pickleball players? One-hundred-percent no is the answer to that question," Agassi
said.
"But there's tens of millions of people playing the game for obvious reasons. They love it. And I'm one of them."
For Agassi, he further admitted that he will continue to play after this event in order to keep fit more than anything.
"I'm going to play beyond this event just because I've learned it's a great form of exercise outlet," he added.
