Bad Homburg Open is a WTA $250 000 tournament in Germany which will take place from 21st - 27th of June 2020, Angelique Kerber was appointed as a tournament ambassador it was revealed.

Kerber is a 3-time Grand Slam champion and a former world number one. Now she will be involved in organisation of a WTA Tournament. Kerber speaks mostly about her experience on tour and that she knows what players want and expect. Kerber said:
“I’ve been to hundreds of tournaments over the years. I know what makes for a good event and infrastructure, what the players’ wishes are. I’m sure we’ll have a very attractive field.
"I would also like to bring my heart into it. Of course, it costs time and you do not only have tennis in your head, but you also have other conversations you have to lead, but you also have to be creative, you have to think about which partners you need, you have to ask, who fits our concept, to this tournament. It all takes time, but it is not wasted time. We are building something up and will get bigger, better and more experienced every year. ”
