Qureshi 'hopes to feed at least 10,000 people at this time of crisis'

Former doubles world number 8 Aisam Qureshi is helping in Pakistan once again when he aims to ‘feed at least 10 000 people’.

40-years-old Qureshi was a very successful doubles player in his career. He climbed the world no. 8 place in 2011 and reached the final at the US Open in doubles and mixed doubles in 2010.
Except for a huge success in sport, Qureshi was also successful in helping others. He is taking part in initiative Stop War Start Tennis which already received ATP ACES For Charity grants. Qureshi has been also honored as Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year twice.
Now, he aims to help people in Pakistan once again. When Coronavirus is threatening the world and his country as well, he Aisam wants to help. He aims to help to feed at least 10 000 people in Pakistan. Qureshi already started to deliver ration bags as he delivered already 500 in the past days with help of RizqShareFood.
“With the help of all the donations and contribution from Shiza Hassan, 500 ration bags have been delivered to 500 families in the past few days through #StopWarStartTennis so far, in sha Allah with help of Rizq share food team, 500 more ration bags will be distributed within this week”, Qureshi wrote on Instagram.
“Our doctors, nurses, medical staff, army, rangers, security forces, police, media is working as a frontline to fight against the corona pandemic. They are trying to keep us all safe from this virus. We as a nation all have to work together as a backline to help the needy, poor, daily wagers and make sure nobody goes hungry during these tough times. Kindly keep contributing to this noble cause and help make a hunger-free Pakistan,” wrote Qureshi.
