Rafael Nadal on how his wedding day went in Mallorca on Saturday

After the wedding Nadal travelled to Kazakhstan for an exhibition match with Novak Djokovic. The World No. 1 & 2 also had a training session with local children and opened a sports facility in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan's capital.

Spanish EFE news agency asked Nadal for some details in the post-match press-conference: “We really enjoyed this beautiful day, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves with the people we wanted to be there, and that’s why we had a great day.”
“It was something we had been preparing for a long time, but it has already happened and now is the time to return for the end of the tennis season and it is good to return for a charity event,” Nadal added.

The exhibition match itself was a tightly fought battle (6-3, 3-6) and decided by a tie-breaker 11-9 for the Spaniard.

The former president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, applauded the duo: “Kazakhs are very happy to see the greatest tennis players of the planet. I always watch your games. You have achieved great results in sports.” quoted by inform.kz.

“We have had this wonderful rivalry during our careers, which still continues, but our relationship and the respect we have for each other on and off the court allows us to play charity games and support each other’s foundations.” Said Djokovic.

The duo is now scheduled to play the Paris Masters later this month, before the ATP Finals in London where Rafael Nadal could reclaim the World No.1 season end position for the fifth time in his career.
