Another tennis power couple affirmed their love for each other this week, as Russians Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in St Petersburg, Russia.
The duo have been dating since January 2023, with each player spotted cheering in the others coaching box during several of their matches. After announcing their engagement in September, they got married on December 1st.
Potapova turned pro in 2017, and is a two-time WTA titlist, The 22-year old has reached a career-high ranking of World No.21 in June 2023, and currently sits at No.28. Conversely, Shevchenko turned pro in 2018, and is currently ranked at 48th in the world on the ATP rankings. The 23-year old is yet to win a title on the ATP Tour.
Potapova announced their marriage on social media, posting a couple of videos from the ceremony held in St Petersburg.
