Saturday, 07 December 2019 at 10:21

Matteo Berrettini has emerged this year as a real player to watch in the rankings with him going from no.54 in the world to the top 10 and his coach, Vincenzo Santopadre believes he deserves everything he has received.

Santopadre said that Berrettini himself has improved in every aspect and that as a result it is no coincidence that he has performed on all surfaces.

He added that in terms of next season, for him he will allow Matteo to recharge but also have in the back of his mind that he will need to be ready at all times.

"Matteo deserves everything he has won. The past year has been incredible and exciting. Matteo has continued to outdo himself every day, managing to complete himself exponentially and gradually become the coach of himself. He has improved in every aspect, it is no coincidence that he has collected results on all surfaces "

"Matteo has matured so much this year, for our part, we must continue to trust him because he is a guy who always puts so much passion and will. I don't know if the season that will come will be more difficult, but it will certainly be different due to the expectations that Matteo was able to create: 2020 is upon us, now it is right to recharge the batteries, but we must be ready because it will be an important year " said Santopadre.
