Taylor Fritz' girlfriend Morgan Riddle opens up on animosity from tennis community: "Think I'm the worst thing to ever happen to the sport"

American star Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle has stated that she has a feeling that people in the tennis community ‘hate’ her.

The 26-year-old has remained in the news for various reasons but expressed her point of view openly as well. In a recent interview, Riddle stated that it seems like she is the worst thing that happened to the sport but further elaborated that she has a lot of connections in the community as well.

"Some people in the tennis community like hate me, hate me, hate me,” she said. “They just think I’m the worst thing to ever happen to the sport which is fine. But then, on the other side of it, I do have a very strong community in the tennis community.

“Like, it definitely took time but I also think because I was the first person to offer that perspective of the tour and it was something that now I know people had just been waiting for, maybe they didn’t even know that they wanted that side of it.

"But I have a great community in the tennis community. There’s so many of them that are so supportive of everything that I do. And me working with the tournaments on an official capacity, that was a big deal for a partner to do that. And people were so supportive of it in a lot of ways. It’s great.

"I don’t know if we’re going to do it again this year just because, we would have to figure out a different angle for it but we’re talking about it so we’ll figure out something for this year. So, I’m excited.”

Fritz won the Delray Beach Open in Florida today after beating Tommy Paul in the final 6-2, 6-3.
