Match fixing is always an unwanted side to sport and there has been suspicions that this has taken place at this year's Wimbledon.
Through a report compiled by Ibrahim Naber for Welt, two matches in particular have been suspected of being manipulated for match fixing.
Providers were alarmed due to abnormal betting stakes being put on matches with monitoring firms overseeing these markets confirming this information.
The first match given by WELT was in a men's doubles in the first round which was flagged due to suspiciously high live bets. They won the first set which then increased the odds of a defeat from there and then lost all remaining sets.
Second case came involving a German player. At the end of the second set, bets totalling five figures were placed on the exact result in the requisite set as well as the maximum number of service games in the entire match with both coming true. These accusations were levied at the opponent of the German player in question.
