When is the atp going to put a stop to courtside coaching coming from the Tsisipas family? What's it going to take? Does an official need to be seated next to Dad? A camera recording him? Cell phones banned on court and/or in players' bags. Supervised bathroom breaks? Come on. It's no secret that coaching is going on. The question is what the heck is the ATP going to do to enforce its own rules? What are they going to do to police bad behavior and out and out cheating? Right now, it's a joke and a bad one. Who is in charge? When is Tennis Channel and the tennis media going to start demanding answers? The fans are unhappy and calling it out. Cheating, coaching, and completely unsportsmanlike behavior are all taking place on worldwide TV and the internet for all to see and NOTHING is being done? Who is in charge? Who is running the asylum and who is holding them to task for the poor job or no job they are doing about it? Seriously? It's high time to cut the crap and take some strong action. If the leadership of the ATP doesn't have what it takes to take charge and right the ship, they should resign immediately, or be forced out. At this point, it's 100% on the ATP leadership to act. Hey, ATP, the ball is in your court. It's time to take your shot.

I appreciate your thoughtful take, but excusing this level of bad behavior cannot be done no matter the players' mental health status. It's simply should not be allowed, period and the atp and wta should issue statements defining what behavior should result in lengthy suspensions of 3, 6, 12 months, with repeated unacceptable behavior possibly resulting in a permanent ban from the sport. Looking at the situation realistically, a firm and unwavering line must be drawn with strong punishment if and when it is crossed. Only this will put the game back on the path of true good sportsmanship. Sorry, but it's now come down to enforcement.

Can Nick just be suspended until next year's Australian Open? He definitely deserves it. He needs the time to cool off and realize he needs tennis more than it needs him with his low behavior. The ATP needs to stand up for the game of tennis. Forget fines. Nicky needs a long time out and the real threat of a lifetime ban from the sport if he repeats his behavior. EVER.

Maybe they are just too privileged in terms of not paying any truly significant price for what others would be suspended or even banned from the sport for. Maybe it's not a lack of mental health. Maybe it's a lack of manners or boundaries regarding actions toward others. Maybe it's a lack of any personal toughness and the real courage it takes to get tough when the going gets rough. True champions have it. Weak bullies, complainers, and cheaters do not. Maybe bad behavior is a smoke screen of excuses for fear of failure and an underlying cowardice of not being up to the task.
