Field Next Gen ATP Finals

Top seed Learner Tien arrives as the standout name. The 18-year-old American, born on 26 November 2005, leads the field with 1,550 ATP points and a current ranking of world No. 28. Tien has enjoyed a breakout season and will enter the tournament as the man to beat, carrying both expectation and momentum into the week.
Belgium’s Alexander Blockx qualifies next, ranked No. 115 with 542 points. Born on 27 November 2005, Blockx has steadily climbed the rankings and will look to make a major statement on one of the biggest stages available to the next generation.

Norway’s Nicolai Budkov Kjær, another 2006-born player, completes the group of European contenders. Ranked No. 133 with 450 points, Kjær has quietly put together a strong season and will aim to disrupt the higher seeds.
The United States has a second representative in Nishesh Basavareddy, ranked No. 166 with 349 points. Born on 29 November 2005, Basavareddy’s aggressive style and rapid development make him a dangerous opponent in the short-format matches that define the Next Gen Finals.

Predictions

Samuel Gill, Head Editor for TennisUpToDate.com sees Tien as the champion in Saudi Arabia.
It is hard to gauge given half the field aren't used to playing ATP events at all and aren't top players yet. if Fonseca and Mensik had been in it like we'd expected, it's a different story with three players finding their way through.
But Tien in reality should've been Breakout Player of the Year on the tour and he won his first title just a few months ago so has the most experience and should be favourite. A wily player who is very consistent he should have the edge.
Also give Prizmic and Basaraveddy potential props given they have played tour tennis while others are more of a conundrum as to how they do. Makes for a great tournament but not for predictions.
