"2021 you have been tough" shares Simona Halep in emotional letter to fans

Simona Halep ended her 2021 season at the WTA event in Linz where she was forced to pull out in the semifinals due to an injury.

It was just one of the many setbacks Halep endured during the 2021 season and in an attempt to explain everything and reassure fans Halep posted a letter on her official Twitter. In her own words, she described everything that had happened in 2021 ranging from personal experiences to injuries to struggles with confidence. T

The letter also contains thanks to many persons on her team including longtime coach Darren Cahill with whom Halep parted ways sometime earlier in the year. She also thanked her husband as a married woman now which is one of the rare happy moments for Halep in 2021. She promised to come back stronger in 2022 saying she can't wait to meet the new year.
