Former coach of Simona Halep, Darren Cahill has suddenly ended his coaching partnership with Amanda Anisimova.
Darren Cahill had a big influence on Simona Halep’s career. Their coaching partnership enabled the Romanian to climb to the top of the women’s game. Moreover, she had tremendous success in big events, winning a couple of Grand Slam titles, apart from a consistent run in other tournaments. After their coaching partnership ended last year, Darren Cahill joined the coaching team of Amanda Anisimova.
The American tennis sensation is gradually on the rise. Many consider her as one of the most promising prospects in American tennis. Further, the Australian coach had joined Anisimova to enable her to take her game a notch higher. However, the two have ended their partnership that had just begun at the start of this season.
It had nothing to do with Anisimova, Cahill told her, just that he’s been struggling particularly with tough quarantine rules around travel to Australia. Further, Cahill will be going back to Australia soon to rest. Meanwhile, Anisimova will continue with Hleb Maslau & Rob Brandsma as her team.
