Azarenka ends Hon party with clinical display in Adelaide

Victoria Azarenka looked impressive in her Round of 16 win over Priscilla Hon at the Adelaide International I, dispatching of the hometown favorite with relative ease.

Azarenka pulled off the 6-3 7-5 victory without much difficulty, outplaying her Australian opponent from the start of the match. The two-time Grand Slam champion employed her powerful baseline game to keep Hon on the run, attacking from both wings and finishing points off with her signature precision.

After defeating Petra Kvitová in the previous round, Hon was hoping to build off her momentum and add another scalp to her cabinet. However, the Belarusian was in no mood for games, breaking Hon on four separate occasions while surrendering serve just once. Coupled with strong service games, Azarenka outplayed and outclassed her opponent to advance after an hour and 27 minutes.

The World No.27 will now face a much difficult foe in fifth seed Iga Swiatek, who raced past Leylah Fernandez earlier in the day.
