Eugenie Bouchard hosted an "Ask Me Anything" session with her fans on Instagram this week and touched on several topics, including her recovery from shoulder surgery.
The Canadian tore her subscapularis muscle in March earlier this year, and elected to have arthroscopic surgery three months later. The 27-year old told followers that she had been scared beforehand because she had never been under anesthesia.
“But everything went perfectly,” Bouchard explained. “However when I came to after the procedure I kinda freaked out and was super emotional lol.
"My mom took videos. I'll have to show y'all one day. It's too funny."
In a separate post, Bouchard told her Instagram followers this week that she also received “good news” in regards to the recovery progression. Additionally, the 2016 Wimbledon finalist revealed where she hopes to travel in the near future.
“Hopefully Rome in May 2022!” Bouchard replied to a question about a possible return to Italy. “Last time I played Rome was 2016 can you believe it.”
