After a lot of entertainment during Day 1 at the Virtual Madrid Open, a lot more is expected on Day 2 as we'll know all of the quarterfinalists.
On Monday, we saw a lot of action on virtual courts in Madrid. Stefanos Tsitsipas, Diego Schwartzman, Sorana Cirstea and Caroline Wozniacki were the stars of the first day. All of those players were successful in both of their matches and so they booked the quarterfinal spots. On day 2 of the Virtual Madrid Open, we'll see those players perform one more time in the group stage. On the other hand, other players will perform up to 2 times as many can still book their quarterfinal spot.
A match between 2 Grand Slam champions will kick-off the 2nd day. 22 Grand Slam titles between Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray and all of that in 1 match. If everything goes according to schedule and we won't experience any technical difficulties as yesterday, ATP and WTA matches should take turns.
Players like Nadal, Fognini, Nishikori or Goffin will be trying to add 2nd victory to their account. In the women's part, it will be Bencic, Konta, Ferro and Andreescu who will search for their 2nd triumph at Virtual Madrid Open. On the other hand, Elina Svitolina will be looking to add 2 victories on Day 2 to book her quarterfinal spot.
