No player ever had a bagel against both Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka, well, at least until Emma Raducanu did it this year.
The Brit rediscovered her US Open form in Cincinnati this week thrashing two excellent players. The Brit will hope it carries over to the US Open and doesn't run out here but for now, she is enjoying some of the best tennis she has played all year long.
Neither Williams nor Azarenka played well but they certainly played well enough to avoid bagels. Raducanu did not care at all as she served both players one. Williams lost the 2nd set in a bagel while Azarenka the first os there are no real similarities in the matches.
Either way, the wins are huge confidence builders for Raducanu who faces red-hot Jessica Pegula next. If the Brit can win that match she will gain even more belief with her US Open title defence so close. That match is coming later tonight so don't go anywhere as we will have a report ready for you.
