Another strong showing from
Emma Raducanu saw her comfortably defeat Magda Linette in Seoul 6-2 6-2.
The score is impressive but so was the play of Raucanu who really did not have any issues in this match. Linette is in really strong form but she seemed to have hit a wall in this one being unable to counter Raducanu and her play.
Too much aggression and ball-striking ability was on display from the Brit for the Pole to be able to stay with it. A medical timeout in the second set seemed to have indicated some sort of physical issue from Linette and she certainly did not look her best today.
Fatigue is another factor in play and it was visible a couple of times during the match. Still, it was a match where Emma dominated from start to finish. It opened with a 4-0 run in the first set which ended 6-2 for Raducanu.
The second set ended with the same score as she was simply superb. The best tennis she has played all year long and she only dropped one point behind her first serve. In the entire match. She moves on to the semi-finals and gets closer to the trophy she so badly wants.
