A WTA 250 event, the Thailand Open is played on hard courts in the lovely city of Hua Hin, Thailand. The event features a 32-woman singles draw and a 16-team doubles field, with players vying for their first title in the early stages of the 2024 season.
The moment Lin Zhu became a first-time WTA title holder in Hua Hin 🤗
China's Lin Zhu will be competing in an attempt to defend the title she won in 2023, and she will be joined by compatriots Xinyu Wand and Xiyu Wang. Former World No.3 Paula Badosa has been dealing with injuries and a dip in form over the past year, but the Spaniard will hope to elevate her gameplay using the Thailand Open as her stepping stone.
Another former champion is scheduled to compete, as Magda Linette will be at the event. The Polish star lifted the trophy in 2020, and she will be the top seed at this year's edition. Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic has entered the draw, and she will be joined by Egypt's Mayar Sherif and Kazakhstan's Yulia Putinseva. Below is the full list of entrants.
