Eugenie Bouchard laments on eating habits as she prepares for return to court

Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has been updating fans on her progress as she amps her recovery following a shoulder injury, but things may not be going as smoothly as planned.

The 2014 Wimbledon runner-up has been out of action since June of last year following a shoulder injury suffered in March, and has regularly updated fans on her recovery and training. Following another practice session, Bouchard shared a chat she had with her sister, Beatrice, on social media.

The Canadian revealed she was on her way home when she texted her sister about working out together, specifically to target their abs. However, Beatrice, claimed to be “out of shape” to work out. She blamed her diet, where excessive eating and wine drinking had affected her routine. Genie also replied with her “eating” behaviors and coyly added, “Glad we are on the same page”.

Although Bouchard did not participate in last weekend's Billie Jean King Cup tie, she did congratulate her Team Canada teammates who defeated Team Latvia to make it to the finals.
