Leylah Fernandez kept winning in Auckland as she smashed
Julia Grabher 6-0 6-1 indoors with the whole schedule being played that way due to rain.
There is really very little Grabher could have done even if the match was played outdoors like it was supposed to however she certainly dominated far more than anyone expected. Graber is a solid player who enjoys battling but there was very little of that in this affair as Fernandez smashed her easily.
Attacking with great precision, Fernandez was able to take apart the game of her opponent. A lot of that damage came from the forehand but there was plenty with other weapons as well. She dropped only two points behind her serve in the first set and only four in the second set. On return, she did plenty of damage using 5 out of 10 break points she had.
A good win for Fernandez who moves on.
