Coco Guff is out of the singles but she's still in the doubles draw where she and Pegula keep doing what they did last year- dominate their opponents.
It was a very interesting matchup between Pegula and Gauff and Kato and Sutijadi. The latter pairing has been finding some decent form this year and their run here looked as smooth as ever. Unfortunately for them, the talent difference in this matchup was simply too much to overcome. They battled but in both sets the Americans just dominated.
Pegula and Gauff didn't serve well at all and gave many chances to their opponents which they took. The Americans dropped serve four times in this match but they also broke their opponents an incredible 7 times. They hit 32 winners as well and it was more than enough to win the match in straight sets.
