Former World No.1
Andy Roddick believes
Serena Williams should be included in the conversation for Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in tennis history.
Williams has several records to her name, including holding the most Grand Slams by a tennis player in the Open Era (male and female) at 23. Furthermore, the American holds the record for most women's singles matches won at Grand Slams (367) and most Majors won after turning 30 (10).
Additionally, Williams is also the only player, male or female, to win three of the four Slams at least six times. She holds the Open Era record for most women's singles titles at the Australian Open (seven) and the most titles at the US Open (six, tied with Chris Evert).
With Novak Djokovic winning his third French Open title last week, the topic of who is the GOAT has resurfaced. When asked if Djokovic was the GOAT in a recent interview, Roddick pointed out that Serena Williams should also be included in the conversation.
"I think we have to include obviously Serena Williams in that conversation [of greatest tennis players in history]," said Roddick.
