Three tennis stars slammed the wild claim of Canadian rapper Drake that he could beat the former world number one Serena Williams in a one-on-one match.
The 37-year-old, who is famous for his on and off-stage activities, back in 2013, claimed that he could beat Serena in a one-on-one match on the court.
"And it's back to LA, open the mail, starin' at the check, Enough to make you throw up, man it's gross what I net, I'm with my whole set, tennis matches at the crib, I swear I could beat Serena when she playin' with her left,” he said back then.
Three tennis stars including the likes of Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, America’s Coco Gauff and Italy’s Jannik Sinner, slammed such a thought.
"Drake my man, not a single chance,” said Dimitrov. "No, he would not even win a point, really. He's wrong," Gauff said. "I don't think so. I would give him confidence in one game, you never know. You have to believe," said Sinner.
Serena is often regarded as the greatest player in the history of women’s tennis in the singles category, having won 23 Grand Slam titles in her illustrious career. She retired from the sport in September 2022 after struggling with fitness and form concerns.
