The Prize
Money breakdown has been confirmed ahead of the 2025
Stuttgart Open also known as Porsche Tennis Grand Prix which will take place between Monday, April 14, 2025, and Sunday,
April 20, 2025. The tournament will feature many top-10 players, several of
them in their first clay tournament of the year, including
Iga Swiatek, Aryna
Sabalenka, and
Coco Gauff.
The total
prize pool for the WTA 500 tournament is increased again, with the champion receiving
a prize of €142,610. The runner-up will claim €87,825, while semi-finalists are
set to receive €51,305. Quarter-finalists will be awarded €27,040. Last 16
losers receive €13,760, while the first-round losers get €9,828.
The
defending champion is Elena Rybakina but she will not return. Iga Swiatek will though, who defeated
Aryna Sabalenka in the 2023
final, and both have already confirmed their participation in what will be
their first clay tournament of the season. They had also contested the 2022
final, with Swiatek emerging victorious.
The
tournament is held the week before the WTA 1000 Madrid Open, and other
prominent names beginning their clay campaigns in Stuttgart include Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva among others.
