Aryna Sabalenka is playing her best tennis at a Grand Slam this fortnight at SW19 and she reached her first
Wimbledon semifinal.
Not many players are having a better fortnight than Aryna Sabalenka who reacher her first Grand Slam semifinal. It came at Wimbledon and it did not happen by chance as Sabaelnka explained after the match:
"I just enjoy everything on this surface. It's actually tough to play on the grass, but I really enjoy every second on the court. It's about everything: about serving, about returning, about moving, about everything actually."
Sabalenka defeated another in-form player in Jabeur to reach the final and it was an impressive victory that never seemed in doubt. Asked about what allowed her to play so great and focused she said:
"The only thing I was thinking about is my game, to stay focused and to fight for every point, for every opportunity I had. Today, it surprised me, but I didn't feel that pressure of being in [a major] quarterfinal for the first time. I was just enjoying the atmosphere and enjoying my game, just doing everything I can to win this match. So it was a great performance for me."
She will face Karolina Pliskova next as the Czech player is showing a similar level of dominance as Sabalenka. The Belarussian said she will try everything to win the match. Come back tomorrow to find out if she indeed won the match.
