The 2023
Bad Homburg Open will feature some quality talent this year, as World No.1
Iga Swiatek has been announced as a participant at the event.
A WTA 250 event, the grass-court tournament will run from June 25-July 1 this summer. The tournament announced Swiatek's participation this week, in addition to German star and local favorite
Tatjana Maria.
Although she is yet to confirm her participation, last year's champion Caroline Garcia will likely be present to defend her title. Garcia defeated Bianca Andreescu to clinch the title, but the Frenchwoman has been plagued with subpar results this season.
The Bad Homburg Open will feature a 32-woman singles field, in addition to a 16-team doubles draw. The event is the final grass-court tournament before Wimbledon, so several top players will likely compete in an attempt to warm up for the only grass-court Grand Slam of the season.
