Iga Swiatek leads the field of competitors for Olympic glory

Following the conclusion of Roland Garros, there is a clear table on which WTA stars will be competing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

The Olympics tennis event is scheduled to begin on July 27, 2024 and will feature 64 women in the singles draw. With the Olympics race ending after the French Open, players will not be able to add more points in their quest to represent their nation at the quadrennial event. Therefore, 56 players will gain qualification based on their WTA standings as of June 10, 2024.

World No.1 Iga Swiatek leads the field with 11,695 points. The Polish star will attempt to win the first ever tennis gold medal for her country, and will be the favorite given the tennis event will be held on the hallowed grounds of Roland Garros.

American prodigy Coco Gauff is second with 7,988 points. The US Open champion will lead compatriots Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins and Madison Keys in America's quest for a gold medal. Belarusian Star Aryna Sabalenka comes in third with 7788 points, and will compete as a Neutral Athlete given that competitors from Russia and Belarus will not be able to represent their countries due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
